Due to high cost of commercial feeds, this study was conducted to determine the performance of broiler fed with pure broiler starter mash against those fed with fermented gumamela ration (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) as feed extender. This was conducted at Barangay Poblacion, San Gabriel, La Union from November 16 to December 21, 2014. A total of 75 heads 14-day-old broiler chicks were distributed randomly in five treatments following the RCBD in three blocks. Results revealed that the final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion ratio, and profit above feed, medicine and stocks of birds fed with 5% to 10% fermented gumamela leaf meal performed comparably with the birds in the control ration. However the birds fed with 5% to 20% fermented gumamela leaf meal had insignificantly higher feed consumption than those feed with control ration.
