To improve the growth and yield of mungbean, a study on the effect of different substance T0-(control/no soak), T1-(giberellic acid/GA3), T2-(distilled water), T3 (moringa leaf extract), T4-(seaweed extract) and T5-(50% seaweed extract + 50% moringa leaf extract) as seed priming substance was conducted at Bungro, San Fernando City, La Union from November 28, 2015 to February 7, 2016 in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) using four blocks. This study determined the best plant extract that would generate favorable effect in growth and yield of mungbean. Results of the study showed that mungbean seeds primed with 50% seaweed extract + 50% moringa leaf extract significantly obtained the highest survival rate and the heaviest in seed yield. In terms of number days of emergence, the earliest plants to emerge were the seeds soak in GA3 (2.0 days) and distilled water (2.0 days) but on the days of maturity the plants soak in GA3 (58 days) was the earliest to mature. Plant height at 14 days after planting, plant height at maturity, length of pods, number of pods per plants, number of seeds and weight of 100 seeds of mungbean were not significantly influenced by the different seed priming substances.
