Peanut production is one source of income in the Phillipines particularly in Ilocos Region and Cagayan Valley. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the best rate of vermicompost that could substitute chemical fertilizer. This was conducted at the Demonstration Farm, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University- North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union from January 13, 2017to April 20,2017 following the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) in three blocks. The treatments use were as follows;T0- Contro (no fertilizer), T1-5 tons/ha of vermicompost, T2-10 tons/ha of vermicompost, T3-15 tons/ha of vermicompost The application of 15tons/ha of vermicompost to peanut plant had significantly influenced the weight of 100 seeds with a mean of 53.33 grams. However there were no marked differences noted on the number of days to emergence, flowering and maturity, fresh pod yield, dried pod yield, and number of pods per plant.
