dc.description.abstractThe poultry industry today is encountering difficulties due to costly feeds. One possible way of reducing feed cost is the use of LABS fermented Ground Corn and Caballero Leaves. Thus this study was conducted to determine the effects of LABS fermented ground corn and caballero leaves as feed extender for broilers. This study was conducted at Barangay Casiaman, Bacnotan, La Union from November 26 to December 31, 2014. A total of 60 heads of a 14 day old broiler chicks were distributed at random in four treatments following the RCBD in three blocks. Based on the result of the study, broilers fed with LABS fermented Ground Corn and Caballero Leaves did not significantly affect the final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion ratio, and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost. However, feed consumption,was significantly affected by the addition of LABS fermented Ground Corn and Caballero Leaves.
