Abstract
This study described the woman local chief executive’s leadership in the COVID 19 response management in the municipality of Luna, La Union. The researchers utilized a questionnaire in gathering data from the 173 M1ATF Member of Luna and 40 Punong Barangays (PBs) while written interview was used for the profile of the local chief executive. Median was used to get the result for Local Government Unit’s (LGU) extent of compliance and level of satisfaction of Punong Barangays. Findings reveal that the Local Chief Executive (LCE) of Luna is 40 years old, a college degree holder, with 11 years in government service before being elected into her first term as Mayor; the LGU is frilly compliant with the requirements provided under the NAP-COVID19 PDITR Strategy; the LCE has implemented impact mitigation measures which are concentrated on detection and isolation strategies; the PBs are extremely satisfied with their LGU’s compliance with the PDITR Strategy and a policy brief recommended to the LGUs to strengthen their COV1D-19 response management.
