Efficient management practices are pre-requisite to profitability and success of a farm enterprise. It is therefore important to document the management practices of semicommercial scale swine raisers in La Union. Sixteen semi-commercial swine raisers from eight municipalities of the first district of La Union were selected as respondents. Data was gathered using a structured questionnaire supplemented with a personal interview. Results of the study revealed that majority of the respondents observed proper management practices. The identified major production problems were occurrence of disease and parasites especially scouring and pneumonia. However, the respondents needs training and seminars on artificial insemination and know the importance of milk replacer on swine production.
