dc.description.abstractCassava is an excellent source of nutritional value due to its highly digestible carbohydrates. The study was conducted to determine the effect of different levels of cassava tuber meal as feed extender on the performance of broilers from November 4 to December 9, 2014 at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University poultry project. Sixty, 14 day old chicks were distributed at random into four treatments employing the Randomized Complete Block Design. Each block had 15 birds with five birds per replicate. The treatments used were the following To- Pure broiler starter mash, TI-5% cassava meal + 95% BSM, T2- 10% cassava meal +90% broiler starter mash, T3-15% cassava meal + 85% BSM Results of the study showed that birds fed with pure BSM and birds fed with 5% to 15% cassava meal performed comparably in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost.
