A total of sixty-seven (67) lactating cows were selected to get a milk sample in different cattle farmers around the municipalities of La Union. The purpose of the study was to detect the incidence and to identify the risk factors for sub clinical mastitis in lactating cows in La Union. The study was carried out on randomly selected lactating cows in La Union in the month of January to May. The milk samples collected from the study were subjected to California Mastitis Test. Subjection of raw milk samples to California Mastitis Test (CMT), a qualitative measurement tool test to aid in quick diagnostic of mastitis which measuressomatic cell count in milk and screening test. Of the total cows examined,44.78 % had subclinical mastitis. Only one factor were significantly associated with the occurence of subclinical mastitis, and it is the parity.
