dc.description.abstractThe study aimed and was conducted specifically to: (a.) determine the profitability of hog fattening; (2) determine the activities involved in hog fattening; (3) determine the problems encountered in hog fattening. The study was conducted in Barangay, Sipulo, Bacnotan, La Union. The hog raiser selected HYPOR pigs for fattening. The researcher prepared a farm plan and budget for 1 cycle for the project. As a requirement, a feasibility study was conducted to know an estimated of the budgetary requirement needed to implement the project. The hog raiser entered into a contract with Little Angels Agri-Vet Supply and as stated in the contract or agreement Little Angel’s has all the credit for all the income incurred from the project. Furthermore, the expenses were deducted from the sales and an additional amount of Php 30.00 for every bag of feeds used. The remaining amount was remitted to the contract grower. Based on the results of the study, the project was found to be at a loss.
