Sweet potato is generally considered a high-energy food as it contains approximately 20% starch and 5% simple sugar PSBSP 17 (NC), PSBSp22 (NC), LSU Violet, BSU 02 Violet, Haponita, Tres Flores, VSP 6, LB 16, and JK 27 for their yield potentials using the RCBD in three blocks. This study was at the experimental farm of the DMMMSU - NLUC Bacnotan, La Union from October 15, 2005 to February 3, 2006. BSU 02 Violet significantly outyielded all other sweet potato entries, (20.80 mt/ha) but was comparable of PSVSP17 (NC) of 19.14 mt/ha. Moreover, all other entries were comparable to the other check variety of PSB SP with marketable yield ranging from 11.00 mt/ha. Moreover, BSU 02 Violet was observed to be red skinned with a light orange flesh and round in shape. It was also found out to be very sweet (9 brix), smooth, bot fibrous with good taste and rated "like very much" in term of general acceptability.
