Abstract
This study aimed to determine the performance of outplanted grafted bignai with organic and inorganic fertilizers. It was conducted at the old goat ranch of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union, from July 12 to December 12, 2010. It was laid out using the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replicates. The treatments were as follows: T0 - Control (no fertilizer applied), T1- BioN(45 ml/seedling), T2 – Urea(45-0-0), T3 – mycogroe (1 tablet per seedling) and T4- Mycovam (1 tsp/seedling). Result of the study revealed that the different fertilizers applied did not affect the initial height, initial diameter, final height, final diameter, monthly height increment, monthly diameter increment, additional number of leaves, additional number of branches, total number of leaves and branches and percentage survival of grafted bignai seedlings after five months. Results also revealed that grafted bignai fertilized with mycovam got the highest mean in its final height, while the seedlings fertilized with mycogroe registered the highest final diameter.
