dc.description.abstractThe Bauang Bakawan Eco-Tourism Park in La Union, Philippines, serves as a vital destination for nature-based tourism, contributing to conservation efforts and community development. However, there is limited research on visitor satisfaction and the factors influencing their experiences. Through a survey method, this study aims to address this gap by assessing the socio-demographic profile, psychographic perceptions, visitation experience, visitation trends, and overall satisfaction levels of visitors and provide strategic recommendation. Findings show that most visitors are young adults, residents of La Union, and college graduates. Visitor experience and satisfaction levels are generally high, respectively, and an overall visitor satisfaction index of 87 out of 100 which is very satisfied. Respondents stated that they enjoyed the park's natural beauty, appreciated the park's eco-friendly initiatives, and found it to be a peaceful environment. Particularly, younger visitors, local residents and college graduates reported perfect satisfaction index scores. Respondents highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness within the park and suggested that improving facilities, such as better signage and more seating areas, would enhance their experience. These results highlight the park’s strong appeal but also emphasize the need for continuous improvements in facilities, services, and sustainability efforts to maintain and enhance visitor satisfaction. Strengthening eco-tourism initiatives can further support conservation while boosting the park’s long-term success.
