dc.description.abstractThis study developed billing and management system which is the Agoo Family Hospital Billing and Management System. Specifically, it sought answers to the following objectives; determine the ICT profile of Agoo Family Hospital along: hardware, software, peopleware, and network; assess the status of existing system in Agoo Family Hospital in terms of: performance, information, economics, control and security, efficiency and services; develop a billing and management system for Agoo Family Hospital; determine the policies and procedures of the Agoo Family Hospital; assess the usability of the developed system in terms of: affect, efficiency, learnability, helpfulness, and control. The descriptive and developmental type of research with survey checklist and questionnaire as gathering tools were used in the bearing of this study. A total of fourteen (14) respondents from the employees of Agoo Family Hospital located at Brgy. San Pedro, Agoo, La Union was requested to participated in the survey floated by the researchers. Among these respondents were the AFH ward Personnel (2), AFDAMAC Ward Personnel (1), Cashier (2), Billing Personnel (2), Emergency (2), OPD AFDAMAC Personnel (1), Pharmacist (1), and Radiologist (2) were requested to participate and involved in the determination of ICT profile of the Agoo Family Hospital and also with the assessment of the status of the existing system of the AFH as well as the assessment of the usability of the developed Agoo Family Hospital Billing and Management System. The data gathered were evaluated by way of frequency count and mean. In the determination of the ICT profile of the Agoo Family Hospital, results portrays that only peopleware components is not present and is likely to be insufficient in accommodating the deployment of the system. In the assessment of the status of the existing system of the hospital, results depicts that all components of the PIECES framework are found to have constraints. The Agoo Family Hospital Billing and Management System (AFH-BMS) was developed using the Rapid Application Development model and was assessed as usable by the respondents.
