Abstract
Water is a scarce resource for irrigation use in many parts of the country. Water usage for irrigation can be improved by drip irrigation schedule and mulching materials used. This study investigated the responses of two varieties of eggplant to drip irrigation under different mulching materials in terms of growth and yield.
This study was conducted from January 2017 to March 2017. It made use of the experimental design Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) factorial replicated four times with two factors Irrigated with Drip Irrigation.
The data were subjected to Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) following the
Randomized Complete Block Design in Least Significant Difference (LSD). Among the treatments, drip irrigated eggplant with black plastic mulch produced the highest values in terms of the height of Eggplant, Number of Fruits, length of fruits, diameter of fruits and weight of fruits.
