| dc.description.abstract | The construction industry is considered one of the most hazardous sectors due to workers’ exposure to occupational risks and workplace hazards. This study examined employees’ level of awareness and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards in selected construction firms in San Fernando City, La Union, and determined the relationship between awareness and compliance with these standards. A descriptive-correlational design was used with a validated survey questionnaire. Data were collected from 123 regular employees from fourteen (14) construction firms and analyzed using median distribution and Spearman’s Rank Correlation Coefficient through JAMOVI software. Findings revealed that employees had a very high level of awareness and compliance with OSH standards, although slightly lower compliance was observed in some health-related programs. Furthermore, the results showed a statistically significant relationship between awareness and compliance, indicating that awareness relates to improved compliance with workplace safety standards. | |
