The broiler industry addresses high feed costs by exploring cost-effective supplements like Roselle seeds. Roselle seeds offer a promising alternative to traditional plant protein sources in broiler diets with their high protein content (30.94%). Incorporating fermented Roselle seed meal presents economic and nutritional benefits for commercial chicken feed. This study investigated the impact of different levels of fermented Roselle seed on the growth performance and profitability of broiler chickens. Sixty (60) 14-day-old broilers were divided into four (4) groups: Control (𝑇0), 3% (𝑇1), 6% (𝑇2), and 9% (𝑇3) fermented Roselle seed, with three (3) blocks each of with twenty (20) birds per block following the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). Results showed that the birds fed with 3% fermented roselle seed had significantly higher weight gain, final weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, and profitability than feed, medicine, and stock costs. This highlights the potential of fermented Roselle seed as a valuable component in optimizing broiler production economics and performance.
