dc.description.abstractThis study examined the design, development, and evaluation of a gamified mobile application aimed at enhancing the learning of Ilocano short stories that seek to promote Ilocano literature and culture among a younger audience through an engaging digital platform. Employing a descriptive and developmental research methodologies, the study integrated game design principles to create an interactive learning experience. The effectiveness of the application was assessed using Game Development Life Cycle and Gane Engagement Questionnaire. Preliminary results indicated by learning the Ilocano literature in gamified mobile application. This application showed that the game elements and aesthetic created an engaging and immersive experience supported by the used if Unity, Visual Studio Code (VS Code) and iBisPaint applications which effectively promoted the study's educational goal and made the game using the Heather Chandler's of GDLC possible by ensuring high levels of usability and accessibility. The level of usability confirmed that the game was both playable and engaging.
