Due to costly feeds brought about by imported raw materials, poultry raisers have to look for locally available alternative sources of feedstuffs. Hence, this study on the different levels of jackfruit meal (5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) was conducted to determine the performance of boriles from April 8 to May 19, 2004 at Barangay Montero, Banayoyo, Ilocos Sur. Seventy-five 21-days-old chicks were used in the study employing the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) in three blocks. Feed conversion efficiency was significantly influenced by the different levels of jackfruit meal. However, insignificant differences in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, cost of feed to produce a kilogram gain and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost were noted. Hence, the use of jackfruit meal up to 20% is recommended.
