Abstract
Due to the high cost of medicine, researchers are looking for cheaper and as substitute to commercial antibiotics. This study was conducted on November 4, 2014 to December 9, 2014 to determine the level of kakawate leaf extract that could be used for broilers. Sixty day old chicks were distributed in four treatments in three replication using CRD.
Result of the study showed that birds supplemented with 5ml and 15ml of kakawate leaf extract per liter of water performed comparably as the birds in the control in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion ratio and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost but not the feed consumption of the birds.
