dc.description.abstractChoosing the right variety in a given area is the first step that determines success in crop production. Hence, a study on different tomato varieties such as V1 Lapad (local variety), V2 Improve Pope, V3 K.S. Apollo, V4 Apollo, V5 Marglobe. This study was conducted to determine the best variety adaptable under San Fabian condition, at Binday, San Fabian, Pangasinan from January 17 to April 21, 2004. Based on the result of the study, Improve Pope, K.S. Apollo and Apollo out yielded the local variety ‘Lapad’ in terms of growth and yield of tomato.
