One way of reducing the cost of producing fattening pigs is through the use of native resources as extender to commercial feeds. Hence, this study on the use of Tricahantera leaf meal (15%) as feed extender to commercial feed was conducted from August 23 to November 15, 2012 at DMMMSU Piggery Project, North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union. Eigtheen weanlings were used in the study. They were distributed into two treatments. t-test analysis was employed. Result of the study revealed that the pigs fed with 15% tricahantera leaf meal as feed extender performed comparably with the pigs fed with pure commercial feeds in terms of final weight, average daily gain in weight, feed conversion ratio and profit above feed, stock and Trichantera leaf meal cost.
