Abstract
This study aimed to determine the potential of powdered malunggay (Moringa oleifera) seed as a coagulant in household water. The study used the experimental research design following the Complete Randomized Design. There were four treatment used comprising of twelve 12 water samples were use and arranged in three replications. Results showed that the pH, odor, color and fecal coliform has an improvement in the results after the application of treatments. The pH, Electrical Conductivity and Total Suspended Solids show significant difference between the four treatments. And the T2 with 4 grams of powdered malunggay seed + 500ml household water has the best results in all of the parameters especially in removing the Total coliform in water. However because of the presence of oil, carbohydrates and other mineral elements in the malunggay seed an increase in Total Suspended Solids and Electrical conductivity may occur.
