Abstract
This study aimed to develop and design a Web-Based Price Monitoring System for the Office of Economic Enterprise of Balaoan Public Market to empower consumers by providing transparent, up-to-date commodity prices and ensuring fair treatment for all consumers regardless of age or background. It sought to: a.) determine the current problems; b) asses the ICT Resources; c) evaluate staff readiness towards the implementation of the system; d) determine respondents demographics; e) evaluate system vulnerability; f) measure system acceptability g) determine perception differences by respondent type & sex. The findings indicated that the system addresses the issues on price manipulation. The municipality is willing to adopt the system. The staff are enthusiastic about implementing the system. Most respondents were female aged 26-30 with Php 10,000 and Php 20,000. The system demonstrated resistance to vulnerability attacks and was acceptable in various criteria Furthermore the system perception varied by type, not sex.
