Most commercially produced hair and scalp care products are made of synthetic materials which pose health risks to the consumers. Because of this increasing consciousness of using organic products instead of synthetic ones, several studies have been conducted in the use of herbal and organic hair and scalp care products but there is a scarce literature on the use of pandan leaves as hair and scalp treatment product. The purpose of this study therefore, is to develop Pandan Leaves Extract (pandanus amaryllifolius) as Hair and Scalp Treatment. It specifically seeks to formulate and process the pandan leaves extract as hair and scalp treatment; determine its level of acceptability; and to determine if there is a significant difference between the treatments in terms of the different sensory attributes. Results of the study showed that Treatment 2(250g pandan leaves extract and 120 ml virgin coconut oil) has been rated as very highly acceptable in terms of colour, pandan scent smoothness of the hair afterapplication, and overall liking.
