Coconut coir dust has been promoted as a growing medium for growing vegetables, ornamentals and tree plants. However, there have been no literature stating the amount needed in marcotting. Hence, this study on the different amount of rooting medium (T1-25 g of coconut coir dust, T2-50 g of coconut coir dust, T3- 75 g of coconut coir dust, T4-100 g of coconut coir dust) was conducted employing the RCBD in four blocks. The study was conducted at the Citrus Production of the DMMMSU-NLUC, Bacnotan, and La Union from June 19, 2006 to November 14, 2006. Based on the result of the study, marcotted pummelo with 50 g of coconut coir dust were the earliest to form callus (15.85 days) and the earliest to initiate roots (34.80 days), obtained the longest roots (10.86 cm) but comparable to those with 75 g coconut coir dust (11.02 cm) and most number of roots (17.88), highest percentage success of marcottage (85.50%) at 90DAM and survival rate (79.00%) at 45 DAP.
