The poultry industry plays an important role in the agriculture development of the country, however, the cost of feeds is so high that at present contribute around 80% of the cost of producing broiler. Hence, this study was conducted at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union from November 10 to December 20, 2008 to determine the effect of white yam meal (WYM) as feed supplement To (pure commercial broiler starter mash), T1 ( 5% white yam meal + 100% CBSM); T2 (10% white yam meal + 100% CBSM); and T3 (15% white yam meal + 100% CBSM) on the performance of broiler finisher birds. Sixty head of 14- day old broilers were randomly distributed into 4 treatments replicated 3 times following the Randomized Complete Block Design and to determine the profit above feed, medicine and stock cost of broiler. Results revealed a comparable final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion efficiency and profit above cost of birds fed with 5% - 15% white yam meal to as birds fed with pure commercial broiler starter mash. However, the addition of 5%-15% white yam meal as feed supplement to the usual ration significantly affected the feed consumption of the experimental birds.
