Frontline service employees of local government units are mandated by law to process requests or applications submitted by clients. The pressure in satisfying all the needs of clients may result in stress. The study aimed to determine the stress coping mechanisms of frontline service employees in the first class municipalities of La Union. It was a descriptive- correlational research utilizing survey method through questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentages, frequency counts, weighted mean, Kendal’s Tau B and Pearson Product Moment of Correlation. It was found out that frontline service employees sometimes experience the effects of organizational and non organizational stressors. They agree that biological, psychological and behavioral stress coping mechanisms are highly effective. There is significant relationship between profile and stressors, effects and stress coping mechanisms.
