Due to the abused use of chemical insecticides that affects human health and the environment, the practice of organic agriculture is of paramount importance. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of chemical insecticide (Sevin 85 WP) and botanical crude extract combinations to control pechay insect pests and to determine the most effective botanical crude extract combination. This was conducted at Barangay Sacaang, Galimuyod, Ilocos Sur from Septemberber16, 2014 to November 9, 2014. A total of 720 pechay seedlings were distributed randomly in eight treatments following the Randomized Complete Block Design in three blocks. Based on the results of the study, botanical crude extract combinations were found as effective as the commercial insecticide to control pechay insect pests hence; they could be used as substitute for chemical insecticide.
