The broiler industry is facing threats from cheaper imports of broiler chicken as compared to higher domestic price due to higher cost of production. This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of broilers fed with different feed supplements (sweet potato leaf meal and mulberry leaf meal) as feed extender. Specifically, this study was conducted to identify the best feed extenders that can influence the performance of broilers in terms of final and gain weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio and profit above cost, medicine and stock cost. Sixty (15 days old) broiler chicks were randomly distributed into four treatments with 5 sample chicks replicated three times following the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). Results revealed that birds fed with pureBroiler Starter Mash performed comparably with birds fed with 10% SPLM + 90% BSM (T1) in terms of final, gain in weight and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost.Birds fed with the different feed extenders had a comparable feed consumption.
