Abstract
This research study focuses on determining the level of accuracy and speed of the
Grade Three Elementary Pupils in their cursive writing. The data needed was gathered
from the 24 chosen participants of the Grade Three Carnelian pupils of DMMMSU-SLUC
The study utilized the pre-experimental design, specifically the one-group pretest-posttest,
to determine the improvement oftheir cursive writing. The research findings revealed a
significant improvement in their cursive writing accuracy based on the increased score of
theparticipants'posttest and increased time spent in measuring theirspeed. This indicates
that the participants' improvement is noticeable regarding their accuracy in cursive
writing when the time spentfor them to write was longer. The results can be used as a
foundation for developing much more cursive writing practices to possess the mastery and
expertise of elementary pupils in cursive writing.
