Due to high market demand and the increasing usage and popularity of.e-cigarette across different ages, this research study aimed to determine the toxicity potential of vape juice on Allium cepa root tips cells. In order to accomplish this, root tips were grown in various vape juice concentrations (4%, 2%, 1%, and 0.5%) diluted in 1000mL mineral water was used as control of the study. After 7 days of exposure to the various treatment concentrations A. cepa root tips were harvested. Root length and chromosomal observations data were collected. Independent samples Kruskal-Wallis showed a significant difference in median root length, median percent mitotic index, and median percent chromosomal aberration. The presence of root discoloration and chromosomal aberration recorded in the experimental samples conveys a possible toxicity effect. This research can serve as a foundation in the fields of healthcare, public awareness, and education.
