dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to determine the ovicidal effect of hagonoy (Chromolaena odorata), lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), neem (Azadirachta indica), lantana (Lantana camara), and makabuhay (Tinospora rumphii) crude extract against ova of mosquitoes, determine the most effective concentration of botanical crude extract against ova of mosquitoes, and determine the efficacy of botanical leaf cake against mosquito ova. Thirty (30) mosquito ova per treatment were collected. Three (3) different concentrations of five (5) botanical leaf crude extracts were incorporated per treatment replicated three (3) times. Data were statistically analyzed using Analyzing Variance ANOV and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test was used for further test of significance. The botanical leaf crude extract (10%, 20%, and 30%) have a potential ovicidal efficacy against mosquito ova resulted to 100 percent unhatched ova starting day 4 (four) up to seven (7) days of exposure time. One hundred grams of botanical leaf crude extract cake (makabuhay and neem) had a 100 percent efficacy against mosquito ova.
