Abstract
The high cost of commercial antibiotics prompted poultry raisers to look for alternatives sources of water supplement such as Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum Fermented Banana Plant Juice. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the performance of broiler given Lactic Acid Fermented Banana Plant Juice as water supplement from November 14, 2014 to December 19, 2014 at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University North La Union Campus Bacnotan, La Union. A total of 75 day old broiler chicks were randomly distributed into five treatments,(T0-pure water, T1-commercial antibiotic,T2-10%LABS Fermented Plant Juice,T3-20% Fermented Plant JuiceT4-30% Fermented Plant Juice) following the (RCBD) in three blocks. Based on the result of the study, the final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion ratio, and profit above feed medicine LABS Fermented Banana Plant Juice and stock cost of birds supplemented with LABS Fermented Plant Juice were comparable but significantly higher in feed consumption than the birds without LABS Fermented Plant Juice as water supplement.
