This study was conducted to determine the effect of the different levels of kapok seed meal as feed supplement on the performance of broilers. There were five treatments which were replicated three times and were arranged using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD). It was conducted at P. Verceles St., Consolacion, Agoo, La Union from May 6, 2001 to June 20, 2001. Sixty (60) Cobb broilers were used and distributed in the following treatments: To - pure ordinary feeds (Control); T 1 - 7% kapok seed meal; T2 - 10% kapok seed meal; T3 - 15% kapok seed meal; and T4 - 20% kapok seed meal in addition to ordinary feeds. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the effect and difference among the treatments on the performance of broilers. Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was also used in determining significant difference among the treatments. Results of the study showed that broilers given the different treatments affected in their performance in terms of weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion efficiency. Broilers in T4 (20% kapok seed meal) had the highest profit above all production costs.
