Adviser: Vallecera, Jessie B., MIT This study aimed to design and develop an Online Car Rental System to help people rent a car that they can temporarily use in traveling, business trips, or other agenda in an easier, more convenient, and hassle-free way. Specifically, it aimed to determine the socio-economic profile of the respondents as to name, sex, age, and salary; determine the vulnerability of the developed system; assess the acceptability of the developed system as to functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, security, and portability; determine the significant difference on the perception of respondents according to sex and type of respondents; and determine the significant difference on the perception of respondents as to sex and type of respondents. There was a total of fifty respondents in the study. The researchers, used T-Test and ANOVA as tool to determine the significant difference of the responses of the respondents. The results were as follows: the socio-economic profile as to sex garnered equal participation for both men and women; as to age, 74% come from the group of 25 and below; and as to salary, groups from 10,000 and below garnered 80%. The vulnerability test result yielded five medium and eleven low risk levels. The acceptability of the developed system was determined using agree or disagree questionnaire. Moreover, the developed system was found “Acceptable.”. There is no significant difference in the perception of the respondents in the acceptability of the developed device as to functionality suitability, performance efficiency, usability, security, and reliability.
