Due to the high cost of feeds today, researchers are finding ways on how to use potential feed supplements that may contribute to the viability as bioenergy feedstock for broiler rations such as Duhat leaf meal. This study was conducted to determine the performance of broilers feed with varying levels (5%, 10% and 15%) of duhat leaf meal as feed extender and to determine the best level of duhat leaf meal mixed with commercial broiler starter mash that would produce the highest profit. This was conducted from January 12, 2011 to February15, 2011, at the Poultry Project of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union. A total of sixty (14 day-old) broiler chicks were distributed at random into four treatments employing the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three blocks. Result of the study showed a comparable final weight , gain in weight and feed conversion ratio of birds fed with the control ration and those fed with 5% duhat leaf meal substituted ration but significantly better than the birds fed with 10 to 15% duhat leaf meal. In terms of profit, birds fed with the control ration is comparable to birds fed with 5 to 10% duhat leaf meal substituted ration. Comparable feed consumption was noted among the birds in all the dietary treatment.
