This study addresses the pressing need for comprehensive understanding and documentation of agroforestry practices in upland areas, crucial for sustainable land management and rural livelihood enhancement. It aimed to identify the socio- demographic profile of respondents, various types of agroforestry farming systems established by the upland farmers, problems encountered by the farmers, and the factors influencing the establishment of agroforestry systems. The study used descriptive and analytical research methods, and the data were analyzed using mean, rankings, frequency counts, and percentage distribution. It was found that farmers in seven upland barangays of Bagulin, La Union, Philippines mainly engage in Agrosilvopastural (Gardening and Poultry), Agrisiviculture (Kaingin making), and Silvopastural (Livestock Production, Forage crops) farming systems. Moreover, upland farmers encounter biotic, abiotic (El niƱo), and indirect (lack of government support and insufficient labor supply) issues, with regards to agroforestry farming.
