| dc.description.abstract | This study examines the retention strategies of Micro, Small, and Medium Hotels in City of San Fernando, La Union. Specifically, it described hotel profiles, assessed the level of implementation of retention strategies, and determined differences when grouped by business size, form of ownership, years in operation, and years in service. Using a descriptive-comparative research design, data were collected from eighty-four respondents across seven hotels through validated survey questionnaires, analyzed using frequency, percentage, median, and Kruskal-Wallis H test. Findings revealed that most Micro, Small and Medium hotels operate under corporations and have been in business for more than ten years, with employees largely serving one to ten years. Retention strategies, particularly performance management and positive work environments, were rated highly to very highly implemented, though differences emerged across hotel profiles. It is recommended that Micro, Small and Medium hotels institutionalize structured HR practices, expand learning and development programs, and strengthen compensation systems to sustain workforce stability. | |
