dc.description.abstractMango seed kernel meal is a potential feedstuff due to its protein content of 4.76- 8.5%. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the effects of mango seed kernel meal on the performance of broiler and to determine the profit above feed, medicine and stock cost of broilers. The research was conducted from January 11, 2010 to February 15, 2010 at Nillo’s Residence, Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union. Sixty heads of 14-day old broiler chicks were randomly distributed following the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The inclusion of 3% to 9% mango seed kernel meal on the broiler ration is comparable to pure commercial mash in terms on the final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion efficiency and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost of birds. However, such inclusions reduce palatability of the feed ration as feed extender.
