Abstract
Due to the increasing cost of feeds, researchers are looking for cheap and locally available feedstuffs to substitute commercial feeds. This study was conducted to determine the performance of broiler fed with pure BSM against those fed with different level of kakawate and mulberry leaf meal. This was conducted from Dec.1, 2014 to Jan.6, 2015 at Barangay Sipulo Bacnotan La Union. Sixty 14 days old broiler chicks were randomly distributed into four treatments with three blocks following the RCBD. Birds fed with 10%-15% kakawate and mulberry leaf meal performed comparably with the birds fed with pure BSM in terms of fcr and profit, however significant differences were noted in terms of final weight, gain in weight, and feed consumption.
