Microfinance plays a significant role in supporting businesses to recover from financial losses by providing access to essential capital. Thus, this study determined the role of microfinance services supporting businesses affected by the market fire incident in the City of San Fernando, La Union. This study also explored the relationship between the business profile of the respondents and the role of microfinance services to the affected businesses. The researchers conducted a survey of one hundred six registered businesses using a validated questionnaire and analyzed it using frequency count and percentage, median, chi-square test, and Cramer’s V. The findings showed the affected businesses generally agreed that microfinance provided accessible and timely financial assistance, reasonable loan terms, sufficient support in restoring operational capacity, revenue recovery, and business continuity. Moreover, the findings showed significant relationships between years of operation and sources of capital and the role of microfinance services to the affected businesses.
