Abstract
This study was conducted to determine whether the vinegar industry is to be
established, expand or abandoned. The data were gathered using stratified purposive random sampling with the aid of questionnaire from producers, sellers and consumers. These were analyzed using frequency counts, average, weighted mean, percentage and rank.
The findings reveals that, producers had average capital of P10, 875, at least 14 years in vinegar production, have their own plantation of sugarcane with 0.75 hectare. Producers’ process their sugarcane into vinegar they use earthen jar as material for storage. Sellers had average capital of P6, 750, at least 8 years in selling vinegar. Their packaging material is recycled bottled their basis for pricing is quality of the product, they sell their product to direct consumers on cash basis they promote by public trust and confident. Majority of the consumer’s preferred local vinegar, they use vinegar twice a day and their buying station is public market.
