This experimental study was conducted to determine the growth performance of native hito (Clarias macrocephalus) reared in fresh water concrete tank using different feeding supplement. The study was conducted from October 29,2002 to January 25, 2003. A single factorial experiment following the Randomized Complete Block Design(RCBD) with five treatments and replicated three times was used. The treatments were the following T₁;(Boiled Golden apple snail), T2; (Halfcooked chicken intestine), T3;(50% half-cooked chicken intestine + 50% commercial feeds), T4; (50% boiled golden apple snail + 50% commercial feeds), Ts; Control (commercial feeds). After three months of rearing, fish were harvested and the following data were gathered; final weight, length and FCR. xiv Results of the study revealed that the treatments produced significant variation on the weight of the fish. After three months of rearing. Thought blocking manifests the reverse The performance of native hito in terms of mean length exhibit that all the treatments yield comparable result no significant differences. The five treatments did not significantly produce variations in feed conversion ratio (FCR). T5 - control (commercial feeds) and T1- (boiled and sun dried golden snail turned out to have the best feed conversion ratio, While T4 - (50% sundried boiled golden apple snail + 50% commercial feeds) poorly performed.
