To them, they identified November to April as the most productive months because of some reasons such as Product quality, attendance of tourist due to summer season, strategic location of showroom, high volume of order to high exchange rate of dollar to peso. Attendance to trade fair and open to transport. The reason for low sale were difficulty to transport of production due to rainy season thus lesser order, limited capital, no permit issued by DENR and lack of raw material.
Problems encountered by the respondents were lack of capital, high cost of raw materials, and marketing, non-issuance of cutting permits and the small area for showroom.
Solutions to problems suggested by the respondents were as follows: more marketing promotions, government should lift “log ban” and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) should be fair in issuing permits, providing special assistance to small entrepreneurs and finally should provide loan packages to manufacturers. Wood based carving enterprises in Pugo and Tuba are economically stable. Respondent have an average annual income of Php 66,120.00.
