Abstract
The study is entitled ''Lifestyles of male homosexuals in two selected towns." There
were fifty male homosexuals from Agoo, La Union and San Fabian Pangasinan.
The study made used of the descriptive method. The data were obtained through
questionnaire, interviews and actual observations. The questionnaire consist of personal
profile/background information regarding their age, position, occupation, monthly income,
number of siblings and ethnic origin and religious sect. The second [part deal on their
lifestyles and perceived factors that influenced them.
The data gathered, were collated and are presented in tabular form. Average weighted
means, frequencies and percentage were computed.
The results of the study regarding their lifestyles shows that they received low
income they prioritize spending for food which is the basic needs and the rest of their
income are given to their family for financial support. They have strong attraction to the
same sex rather than the opposite sex. In terms of their sexual practices, they preferred one
lover and the duration of relationship, majority last for three years. The problems as being
rejected by love ones rank number one followed by made fun ot: felt unloved, felt isolated
and lovers taken advantage of them in descending order. Majority of them prefer women
clothes and they prefer to become real woman. The environment has a strong influenced on
them and their peers or friend has also strong influenced on them to become homosexuals.
Since majority exhibited the characteristics of a women like attracted to males, having
effeminate actions and effeminate voice so, they felt that they have the tendency to became a
real woman.
As regard age of respondents, majority are 21-25 years old. Majority of them are the

n1 child in the family with 3 sisters and 2 brothers respectively. In terms of ethnic origin
majority are Ilocanos and Pangasinenses. Mostly of the respondents are Roman Catholic.
Majority of the respondents or 28% a Beauticians. There are 31 respondents or 62% have an
income of3,OOOand below. However, there are 3 or 6% earn 9,000 to 11,000 a month.
