Abstract
This study was conducted to formulate organic liquid fertilizer from extract of natural plant (Ipil-Ipil) and brown algae (Aragan) with different wastewater based. It was conducted at the DMMMSU-Nursery, Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union. Wastewater samples generated from DPERF, SRDI, and fish wash were collected and formulated with Ipil-Ipil extract, Aragan extract, Biosol, and ash. Different wastewater samples were brought to the Department of Agriculture Soils Laboratory, San Fernando City, La Union. The different wastewater formula were the following: a. T1= 40L Tap water + 100ml Ipil-Ipil extract + 100ml Aragan extract + 50ml Biosol + 20 tbsp Ash b. T2= 40L DPERF wastewater +100ml Ipil-Ipil extract +100ml Aragan extract + 50ml Biosol + 20 tbsp Ash c. T3= 40L SRDI wastewater +100ml Ipil-Ipil extract + 100ml Aragan extract + 50ml Biosol + 20 tbsp Ash d. T4= 40L Fish wash +100ml Ipil-Ipil extract +100ml Aragan extract + 50mlBiosol + 20 tbsp Ash T-test was employed to determine the differences between the initial and the final findings using the different wastewater samples used in the study. The difference between treatments on fresh formulation and 30 days after formulation revealed a significant result. DPERF and SRDI wastewater formula greatly increased on its nitrogen and potassium content after 30 days of formulation while decreased on the tap water and fish wash formula. This implies that as the days of retention increases nitrogen and potassium content of the organic liquid fertilizer also increases. The nitrogen and potassium content of SRDI and Fish wash formula decreased as the retention time increases. Phosphorous content of formulas on fresh formulation and 30 days after the formulation revealed that only traces were found.
