Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, College of Agriculture, North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union. Adviser: Russel B. Barrameda, MS Napier (Pennisetum purpureum) is an improved grass that produces high protein forage used for ruminant feed however farmers are unable to afford commercial fertilizers for forage production. Hence, this study was conducted to evaluate the effect of different level of swine manure on the production performance of Napier grass. It was conducted at Barangay Alzate,Bangar,La Union from March 23 to May 26, 2021 The varying level of fertilizer were 0 kg (T0), 1 kg (T1), 2 kg (T2) and 3kg(T3). There were three replicates of each treatment arranged within three blocks in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). Each napier cuttings was planted in 10.5 square meter plot with 30 cuttings per plot and spaced at a distance of 0.50 m hills and 0.75 m between rows. The result of the study revealed that 3 kg swine manure is the recommended level for optimum growth and herbage yield of Napier grass.
