This study was conducted to document the cultural practices of hot pepper and to conduct a costs and returns analysis of a one – hectare hot pepper plantation. The documentation production was done through its actual observations and personal interviews on five farmers cultivating hot peppers. The costs and returns were analyzed based on the computed data on a one – hectare hot pepper planted basis. Findings revealed that the farmers follow a farming system for cultivating hot peppers similar to that of the other pepper species. Production of hot pepper is economically viable as shown by the high net income and return on investment.
