dc.description.abstractThis study was carried out to determine the performance of broilers fed diets included chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens). Five levels of ground chili pepper at the rate of 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% were incorporated as feed supplement into the basal diet for 21 days. It was conducted from November 14, 2015 to December 19, 2015 at Salincob, Bacnotan La Union. A total of 75 broiler chicks were used in this study and distributed at random into five treatments employing the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three blocks. Results of the study showed insignificant differences in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion ratio of birds fed with experimental and control diets. However, the feed consumption of the birds was significantly reduced by the inclusions of chili pepper in the broiler ration.
