This study was conducted to determine the respondents’ profile of major fruits, marketing practices, demand and supply analysis and factors affecting fruits consumption. Data were gathered through personal interview with the aid of a questionnaire. A purposive random sampling was drawn from 5 selected municipalities of La Union. The findings revealed that most of the respondents were females and young. As to area coverage, most of the sellers and consumers acquired their products within La Union and in the public market, respectively. As to marketing practices, banana was the most saleable and most preferred major fruit. Most of the sellers secured their products classified/sorted while the consumers bought fruits unclassified ones according to size and variety as it has lower price. Results also showed that poor quality of products was considered as less serious problem for sellers while consumers disclosed that taste had an extreme effect in the consumption pattern.
